To manually register the opening balances for each account, enter the required data: Accounting Period, Branch, and Currency, then click Load. A table of balance data for registered accounts will be displayed, enter balances of each account.

Opening balances can only be added for the first accounting period.
Filter Accounts
Enter the account name or number, to add or edit balance for a specific account.
Print Opening Balances
Display and print the details of the opening balances of all accounts (debit & credit). Use different editing tools to edit the design, before printing.
Import Opening Balances

Instead of manually entering balances data for each account, the General Ledger program allows you to easily import data of opening balances from Excel. Enter the required data: Accounting Period, Branches, and Currency, then click on the Excel icon.
Select an Excel file.
Select the Excel sheet, for the program to extract data from.
Required columns headers are shown, match with headers in the file.
Click on Load Data.
Enter Excel File Data, then click Load Data
Imported data are listed, click on Add after reviewing and editing the data.
After reviewing the data click Add
Verify Imported Opening Balances
The program checks the imported data for any un registered accounts, or duplicated entry to show warning messages.

Enter the data: date, currency, new currency factor, branch, and the currency difference account, that the program will use to register the currency difference profit/ loss in, then click on Load Accounts Related to Currency.

The data of foreign currencies accounts are displayed, balances in local currency, in both the new, and the previous currency factors, and the difference of total value. Click on Revaluate, to save.
