Ready-mix

Ready-Mix Workflow

Basic Definitions

The workflow starts with setting up essential master data in each module. In the General Ledger (GL), the system is configured with charts of accounts, cost centers, branches, currencies, and accounting periods. The Inventory module requires definitions for units of measurement, material categories, inventory locations, and material master data. In Procurement, suppliers, supplier groups, and material purchasing data are defined, while the Sales module includes definitions for customers, sales organizations, and customer groups. These definitions enable all operational transactions to be accurate and consistent.

Operational Modules and Workflow

Once the system is set up, day-to-day operations begin with the procurement module. When materials such as cement, aggregates, and additives are needed, supplier quotations are obtained and purchase orders are created. When materials are received, they are recorded in inventory through a goods receipt, and stock levels are updated.

These raw materials are then issued from inventory to the Ready-Mix module, where a bill of materials (BoM) outlines the specific mix design. The materials are processed, and the concrete is prepared for delivery. The Production module assigns vehicles and drivers—either internal employees or external contractors—for dispatch.

The Sales module initiates the commercial side, starting from sales inquiries and orders to invoice generation. After the concrete is delivered, the customer receives an invoice. If the driver is an employee, their delivery performance is captured in the payroll system, possibly earning them a bonus. If the driver is a contractor, their compensation is handled through the commission process.

Once the invoice is issued, the Cash Control module ensures customer payments are received and matched. Payments to suppliers are also managed here, with transactions processed through the treasury and connected banks. Every financial event—whether from procurement, sales, or payroll—is recorded automatically in the GL via journal entries, including any applicable taxes.

This entire workflow ensures that raw materials are tracked, production is controlled, deliveries are managed, and financials are updated in real-time. AccFlex ERP links all departments, from purchasing and inventory to sales, delivery, and finance, creating a seamless, efficient, and transparent business process tailored for ready-mix operations.
