Sales

In a ready-mix business, the sales process begins long before the concrete is poured. It often starts with a sales inquiry—a customer reaches out to your team to ask about pricing, availability, or product types.

Sales Quotation: Based on the inquiry, the company sends a formal quotation outlining the price, delivery terms, and payment methods.

The sales contract includes essential information such as the customer’s name, contact person, communication details, billing and delivery addresses, and any relevant tax or registration numbers. This information is entered or selected at the beginning of the sales cycle usually when creating a sales inquiry or quotation.

A sales order can be created either directly or based on a preceding sales inquiry. Within the sales order screen, the unit price can be entered manually, and relevant services—such as concrete mixing and delivery—can be added. These services will be automatically carried over to the Ready Mix Delivery screen during the delivery process. Certain fields are mandatory for saving a sales order. These include the order type, sales organization, customer, order date, and inventory management information. These requirements ensure accurate processing, integration with downstream operations, and proper tracking of inventory and delivery activities.

In the ready-mix concrete industry, invoices are often generated manually after the customer receives the delivery.

The customer can pay by bank or cash according to the agreement in the contract.
